Hattrick IT was founded in 2015 by an ex-developer who was tired of recruiters who had no idea what they were talking about. Ten years on, we're still the same no-nonsense crew — just a little bigger.

Our story
Started in an attic room.
Today we work with four consultants and an extensive freelance network from Rotterdam and Groningen.
2015 — Mark started Hattrick IT from his kitchen table, frustrated with the cookie-cutter approach of traditional agencies. He wanted recruiters who knew the tech stack, not just the keywords.
2018 — Sara joins as the first full-time recruiter and builds out the frontend & mobile network. We grow to 50 placements per year.
2021 — We open a second office in Groningen to better serve the northern IT scene. Tom and Lieke strengthen the team.
Today — We've made over 500 placements, work with more than 200 clients and see that 85% of our candidates stay at least a year. Not bad for a team that started in an attic.
